Our mission is to bring glory to God by loving him with all our being, by loving others as Jesus loves us, and by making disciples of all nations.
Our vision is to have a clear pathway for people to become all God wants them to be. We accomplish this through Worship, Life Groups, Discipleship Groups, and Going to the Nations.
Pastor Chris began his ministry at New Horizon in July 2013. He has a heart for discipleship and missions. Chris has a desire to see people become the disciples that make disciples.
Chris has three children, Michaela, Chandler, and Colby. Chris enjoys spending time with his family on Norris Lake, and Blacksmithing.
Josh became the associate pastor to students in Summer 2016. He holds a Masters of Divinity in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Josh wants to take God seriously, and not take himself so seriously. He has a passion to see students grow in their faith and in leadership. Josh and Melissa have been married since 2012. They were blessed with the birth of their son, William Bear in May 2020. Josh enjoys fly-fishing in the Great Smoky Mountains, hunting, and pretty much anything outdoors.
Joann is a Houston Tx girl born and raised! She enjoys reading, quiet time with Jesus and coffee. Her husband Tom is a skilled musician, and she loves his music. They have a daughter, Shera and a son, T.J. Joann was an administrative assistant at a church in Texas before moving to Lafollette to be closer to her kids. (And Grandbabbies!) Joann always has a Bible verse but, she right now she loves Luke 1:45 "Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord will fulfill His promises to her."

Our student ministry seeks to support the vision and mission of the church by equipping parents to disciple their students, investing in students, and giving them opportunities to serve. We also participate in camps, retreats, service projects and much more!

Our children's ministry seeks to support the vision and mission of the church by equipping parents to disciple their kids, investing in kids, and creating a kid friendly atmosphere where kids want to be. We go to summer camp, have parties, community outreaches and much more!
We want to be obedient to the great commission to make disciples of all nations. Sometimes that means hopping on a plane. Each year pastor Chris trains hundreds of pastors in India. We send high school students to support mission work in the Dominican Republic. We partner with kingdom builders to build churches and orphanages in Mexico. We also support several cross cultural missionaries directly in India, Sudan, and London. As we have opportunity we go.
Campbell County is a Mission Field. We want to great commission seriously in its command to make disciples in our Jerusalem. We serve downtown on Sunday afternoons, partnering with several local churches at the Common Ground Coffee Shop. There we minister to the homeless, addicted, and down and out. Come check us out, Sundays at 4pm.
We have traditional Sunday school class Sunday mornings at 10:00 on campus. We also have life groups meeting in homes throughout the week. For more information contact our office, check in with our hospitality team at the main door, or come eat breakfast with us at 9:30 in the gym.
To go deeper in knowledge, accountability, and community we have "D-groups" groups. These are gender segregated groups of 3-5 who meet at various times and locations for prayer and to go deeper.
Our Senior Adult ministry, meets once per month for fellowship, a meal, and a devotion. We take annual day trips together as well such as the Dollywood Lights and the Bush's Beans facility.
